"Royal Spaniels"
We are situated in the Illawarra, NSW. About us:- From as early as I can remember, animals have always been a part of my life. My parents tell of a faithful cocker spaniel they had when I was a baby. He would sit beside me at the beach when my parents went in for a swim, growling at anyone who ventured too close. And when out shopping, no one could get close to my pram for a look unless Mum said it was ok. Later in life when I had my own family, dogs remained an important part of our lives, as well as an assortment of other animals. Originally from New Zealand, I bred and showed Rough Collies & Persian Cats in the '70s. The High Point was when a homebred Persian won Best in Show at the National All Breeds Cat Show. It was some years later when we purchased our first Cavalier while in Queensland. "Maggie" was a dainty Blenheim complete with lozenge. At the age of three she had her first litter - rubies and black & tans - our first introduction to wholecolours. In 2003 we moved to NSW, along with Maggie, and her daughter Rosie. "Rosie", a sweet natured ruby, had her first litter of puppies aged four. We kept a tricolour girl from this litter called "Misty. " In her first litter she had a beautiful black + tan girl we called "Tula." While we adore the Wholecolours, we still love our blenheims and tris. Last year we purchased "Penny" a promising young blenheim girl from Kelzarki kennels. We look forward to seeing what is in store for the future of our particolours. Our dogs live as members of the family and are never caged or kenneled. They have free run of our very large backyard and chill out with us on the sofa when tired from all their play. About Cavaliers:- The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is indeed a superb breed to own. Daily, you are rewarded with cuddles & kisses from what must arguably be the most loving breed of dog on this planet! They have been bred primarily as a companion dog, and at this job they truly excel! They love to be near their owners, and are not suited to a life left outdoors on their own. They are a most versatile little dog, and have not lost their sporting instinct! They are warm and affectionate as well as energetic and fun loving. Cavaliers enjoy games, chasing a ball and playing with children; they love chasing rabbits in the hills or swimming out after ducks on the lake; but when the sun goes down, they will head for the nearest comfortable couch or bed to curl up on. They are also just as content to laze around at home when you are not up to taking them out, and a daily walk on a lead will suffice if you have not got boundless energy. Our love for this delightful breed has been increasing over the last ten years, and like many others before us we have found that it is difficult to stop at just one Cavalier! Our aim is to breed some lovely dogs that are both sound in mind and body. Dogs displaying the sweet temperament that Cavaliers are renowned for, and just as importantly, dogs that are also healthy. Our own breeding stock is tested by both cardiologists & opthamologists when old enough, to ensure they are clear of inherited defects, and are checked for Slipping Patellas. Be sure that you get your Cavalier king Charles Spaniel puppy from a Reputable Breeder who is registered with their State Kennel Club, and most importantly breeds from dogs who are health tested by Veterinary Specialists on a regular basis.

Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made.
